Alone in a new place (Open)

Aqua eyes scanned the bar at the front of the Ninth Circle, long dark hair that ended in bright blue fanning out behind the figure as they casually wandered in to the place and the young woman in question headed right over to the bar. Her hands rested on the surface of the counter and she bounced on the balls of her feet a bit. This wasn't home. She'd found that out from where she'd ended up. One moment she was in Crocus, the next? Here. Outside a SINGULAR building.

This wasn't home. This wasn't anywhere she'd been through.

The place didn't even have the same sort of vibe and she was a bit confused though she kept smiling.

A bar tender came over to her and immediately she bombarded them with some questions.

"This isn't Crocus is it?" The person shook their head.

"Earthland?" Another shake of the head. The woman swallowed a bit and slowly slowly sat down on a stool. Her shoulders started to tremble. Her cousin. Her guild. Her friends. All gone. She was alone now. On her own and it was terrifying. The bar tender explained that she must've been one that was pulled to the world. Without choice. Without rhyme nor reason. She nodded and the man took a leaflet from behind the bar sliding it to her before pointing her towards a machine telling her if her currency was something common, then it would be exchanged, if it was new? It would be logged and exchanged for currency for this world.

Slowly she nodded and she stood up heading towards the machine she took out the pouch full of jewel that she had and she sighed.

"So much for having a lot of jewel..." And in to the machine it went, the currency was logged, and then twenty stacks of '100' credit bills came out of the machine. Each stack had at least 500 thin bills, that was a total of ten thousand bills, and in turn one million credits. Standing there she slowly eyed the money.

Then she put it in her bag and she headed to the counter.

"I need something heavy... If you don't mind..." Sitting there in silence she waited as the man got her a drink and she passed him one of the new bills she'd been given to which he gave her change and more bills and she just sighed.

"So much for my own guild, so much for my cousin, so much for... Everything... Guess I'll just have to make do." She mused as she sat there and she stared at the drink before sipping at it a little. It was bitter, yet sweet all at once. Unique and really maybe she needed to drink more in order to forget. She certainly had the cash to after exchanging that jewel.

"You know, I do like a girl who goes for the strong stuff." She didn't look at the person who spoke to her, at least not at first. Instead she was staring at her drink, and her eyes shifted to the speaker after a few moments, but she didn't say a word. Instead she just looked at him and smiled, as if asking what he wanted because she didn't know anyone here in this world so why, why would they bother her unless there was something they wanted?

"The name's Sam Drake and if I may, may I ask you for your name?"

"Zezilia Zephyrie, Zeph or Ilia for short." She finally spoke and then she sighed.

"Not to be mean or anything but usually people don't just randomly approach someone they don't know, at least, not unless there's something they want." She looked back at her drink before sipping at it.

"So, is it a drink you want or something else? Honesty is the best policy and who knows I might be a good samaritan. I'm just hoping you're not going to try to fight me or anything because if my magic works I might just have to drown you or cut you up." As if to test that she started concentrating on her magic, and after a moment two wings sprouted from her back, leafy in texture before they vanished.

"Good, my magic isn't blocked... Well at least I have a way to defend myself I guess... Wonder if my cousin'll end up here too... That'd be nice... At least I wouldn't be stuck here on my own then and I'd know she's safe." Zezilia sighed and then she laughed a little rubbing the back of her neck.

"Ah sorry, I'm rambling. Do you have any idea what other floors there are in this place?" Well she may as well ask just in case the person knew, if they didn't, well, she was out ofluck but hopefully the person was a resident of this place so she wouldn't have to go prying for information from other people.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Zezilia. I couldn't help but overhear you talkin' with the bartender. It's just nice to see I'm not the only one who isn't from here. Then I thought 'hey, might be nice meeting someone new'." So he was another off worlder as these people called them. That was good. She wouldn't be entirely alone for now.

"I guess I'm just tryin' to make a friend who has something in common. Don't have many of those and don't have any here. Heh, but I'm pushing it, huh?" She nodded, it was understandable but if this guy tried anything she'd be forced to act and honestly she really didn't want to. Not when she was still trying to get herself secured. Though she did notice that his expression changed with the little bit of magic she used.

"What's the matter? Never seen magic before??" She wasn't trying to be snarky, infact she was trying to get a little information herself.

"So you've lost someone too, huh? I lost my little brother. He's a little shorter than me, less handsome, slightly less intelligent."

"My cousin. She was going to help me found a mages guild and stuff back where I'm from." She explained and she leaned on the counter.

"I think I heard something about some stores on another floor but other than that, I have no clue. I was plannin' on going around and finding out what else this place had to offer." Rolling her shoulders a bit she eyed him.

"Well... Tell you what." She began.

"So we both don't look like we're sitting ducks who can easily be taken advantage of in this new place? I'll pay you, for sticking with me till tomorrow. I'll buy your drinks, food and some other things while we're roaming about to check things out, and you get paid too on top of that. Sound good?" Essentially she was paying for his company, so in a sense she was paying for a date? Not that it sank in that, that was the case. Even if it did, she wouldn't mention that.

"So, what would you like to drink?" She asked with a smile and she remained calm. If he did pick a drink she'd buy it of course and they could finish their drinks together before moving on. Though she would have one question.

"Um this place doesn't happen to have hotel rooms does it?" The bar tender nodded.

"There are a variety of VIP rooms that can be paid for, for a certain time, all our rooms are very secure and should you want it to be turned in to a room for an elongated stay, that can be arranged. We have people who can change the rooms around while you're busy elsewhere in the establishment. So essentially yes, we will provide beds for those who're willing to pay for the room rental." She now stood and looked at Sam.

"Well I dunno about you but I need a room to stay in. Do you?" If that was the case she'd offer to pay for two separate rooms. One for Sam and one for herself. It might be a bit odd but she felt odd sharing a room with a guy she barely knew. Being friendly was one thing but more than that was completely different after all.
