Personality Traits • Open • Blunt • Kind • Brave • Stubborn • Selfless • Some what lazy • Smartass/Sarcastic • Somewhat reckless The History Ark has been in the spot of power he is in for a number of years already. Because of this some believe that he'll always be the king, however at times he really doesn't want to keep the spot, but he fears that if someone else, or rather, anyone else takes the throne at the moment it would end in war again and that's something he really doesn't want to put his people through. They've been through enough as it is when it comes to war. Hell they were still recovering from the last one, and he wanted to make sure that things were stable and running smoothly for he and his people. Because of this he tried to keep open channels of talking and the like with the other races of The Nether and even to some in The Gray to make sure that things were going to be going smoothly. However, things weren't always this way. In fact before the war it was a little different. His people would find their pray, find people to enslave and all sorts of things. But thankfully, or rather what some would say thankfully to, most of the ones like that were killed in that war that happened. But he knew that there were still some that wanted to do nothing more than hunt hunt and oh yes, hunt those that they felt were weaker. Though in the back of his mind he knew this was one of the reasons the war happened in the first place. To say that he was odd when compared to other vampires was putting it lightly. He was actually kind and would listen to other people's thoughts and opinions. He would weigh things carefully to ensure that each side involved would get something out of all of it, and because of that some of the other vampires saw him as too soft. So, they tried to have him killed. They would quickly find out though that he didn't only have this spot because of the way he ran things, but because of how strong he could be in a fight. The assassins that the others hired to go after him met with a rather bloody end. This was one of the few times that some of the lesser ranked vampires saw how he fought, the fact that he wasn't quite as he seemed, the dark and sharp claws that replaced his hands, they seemed to gleam and glow with the blood of the foes that tried to kill him. And once they shifted back, the blood was gone. It was from that point on that in the ranks that rumors started that those claws absorbed the blood from their victims directly, meaning that he had more than one way to do so. And thus people started to realize why he had been the king for so long. He did fight in the war, he was there and everything and he made it back in one piece. And since he was able to see all of that and experience it all firsthand he knew that it would not be wise for people to get into another one, and thus we have the way things are running currently. Most of his people are happy and he still tries to keep connect up with the other races as much as possible, at least all of them that aren't from the Light Province. That wouldn't really work out too well if he just strolled into the area. But he doesn't really mind if some come into the Dark areas so long as they didn't try to fight. But he always had a ill feeling toward the Supernatural peoples. He just felt that he couldn't fully trust them because he felt as if he did...He'd find a knife in his back from one of them because it suited them at the time. Otherwise, he's open and kind to most people. Abilities • Essence Drain: Because of his age and strength, Ark has the power to drain the abilities of the people he feeds upon. Because of this he can earn some of their abilities. (How long it lasts and if he does gain anything is up to the other RPer, if they allow it he does earn an ability and he can keep it for well...Keeps.) This is more a passive effect when he feeds or uses his last ability • Will Control: Being a vampire, and a rather potent one at that he has the ability to control the will of those that are weak of mind, or at least he is about to influence them into doing something that he wishes them to do. As the Essence Drain this ability does no damage, and the like. He can use this once every six posts and three times per thread. • Claws of the Damned: This changes his hands into horrible dark claws that can slice through most armor. Because of this it does high damage and he can use them in a wide arcing swipe if there is more than one foe around him. This ability has an eight post cooldown and then he can use it twice per thread if need be. |
