His mother loved him but he was brought up in a particular way that is most likely different to most childrens upbringing. His father wasn't exactly the most warm and welcoming person, and certainly not a caring and nurturing father. Arhin actually had very little contact with his father and was brought up to take over the the family and govern it with an iron fist. Which is exactly what he used to do before the war. Arhin held a deep resentment for his father and in rebelling against him, perhaps became even crueller. Arhin's father had believed in ruling people through money, bribery, and fear of course this only really worked for a time. Arhins father was quire responsible for making promises to humans of turning them only to savage their families. His father was even preparing to take the throne but Arhin wanted nothing to do with it even as a child. He never once objected to it though and went through with the lectures, went through with the being taught to murder people. Was even taken on his first massacre at the age of ten years old. He won't forget the screams. However it also taught him that mortal life is finite. Nothing more than a speck in comparison to that of a vampire or worse yet a demon. So due to this he became cold, closing himself off little by little. When he eventually reached his teenage years he looked very much like his sons do now, though women came and went, sleeping with him, some becoming nothing more than corpses left behind after he drank too deeply. They'd run after they found out what he was, they always ran. He was a monster. A murderer. A parasite that lived on the life force of those around him. He knew it was the truth but he never asked for this life and he simply did what he needed to do to survive. He let many go because they never needed to see his fangs in the first place. Instead they were nothing more than one night stands. When he hit the age of twenty his ageing slowed to a halt. He had grown normally to this point however now his body was slowing in it's growth, he hasn't even aged that much since then either but again that comes with being born a vampire rather than being bitten. More women and sometimes even men at this point came and went and he didn't really care about any of them. This carried on for the next thousand or so years before he found that his father had come home but why? To train Arhin. Now that the young man had a taste for blood and now that he had accepted his 'fate' he was put under extreme training for the thousand years between his fun and the war. When the war came around however. Arhins father went out in to the battle field and Arhin followed, this version of Arhin was not the one that simply over indulged, it was something that had remained dormant to this day. When he stepped out he waited and then he tore through his enemies for hours, enjoying the death far too much, drinking the blood of his kills save for the angels, their blood tasted like charcoal and dust. Instead he feasted on the blood of humans, faeries, elves. Whatever he killed. He didn't even feel sorry for it. He did once it was all over though. His father was killed but he was quite happy about that. He wouldn't miss the bastard. Not one bit. Instead he just felt bad about the waste of blood and the mass of corpses at what is now called the cross fields. After the war was over, he simply... Went home... There wasn't much else he could do but he wasn't going to challenge the king for the throne like his father had been training him to do. He just didn't want it, the responsibility, the blame, too much luxury without having to earn it. He instead wanted to stay at his family home that he had contributed to helping grow. Though when he came back to the home he found that the place still had their human, elf and other servants. Some were food, others were simply there to help with upkeep and without a master of the house, nor did they have a mistress of the house as Arhins mother had been slain while he was on the battle field, again he cared very little about it. They looked at Arhin for their orders. He wasn't cruel to them, he treated them with a little respect so long as they didn't piss him off and did as they were asked without questioning his orders. Some of them were extremely loyal and they became rather attached to their new lord. Not because he was their new master of the house but because he was kinder than his father and mother before him. He didn't beat them, he didn't torture them. Some of them he let go because he honestly didn't deem them fit enough to eat, they were useless to him and they were far from strong so it wasn't like he could even have any fun fighting them only to tear them apart afterwards. He was however deeply upset when two of his servants, both female, both human were slaughtered while they were carting food back to the mansion. He went and found the people responsible and all that remained of them by the time he left was a new layer of red paint covering the walls. He slowly grew colder and more distant than ever before, locking himself away within the belly of the family estate and deep within the mansion upon it. He did not want anything to do with the outside world for the most part. However, that was until a common thief broke in to his mansion. Capturing her she was imprisoned and though she was imprisoned she was treated well, she was fed, cleaned, given wine and water and after about a week of being treated like a lady and being fed she simply told Arhin that she'd been keeping her mouth shut about why she was stealing from him so that she could stay without having to do anything and without having to pay for food or drink. She had a roof this way and even with him being hungry for blood she'd risk it because people wouldn't come looking for her there. So he let her go. He had no reason to keep her any longer and from the scent he wasn't too keen on her blood type. Even though he let her go. She came back the day after, asking him to let her stay on the grounds. He refused and ignored her. She came back, every single day, for two whole weeks. In the end he just let her stay and she made herself at home, though he was a little surprised on how much she went out of her way to make things more enjoyable even going so far as to learn lyrics to certain songs in other languages so that she could sing them for him. He was perplexed to say the least though over time he became attached to her and he turned her as well as marrying her. That way there wasn't any way she would suddenly disappear. He was wrong. She left one night and never came home. He did track her down only to find she was with someone else. She had used him to be turned and so she had an almost endless amount of money to her name. Then she just went out and did what she liked. It was like he'd let a blood thirsty mutt out on the loose so sadly he had to end her before she started yet another war. When wife number two came along she met him at a bar where he looked rather down and she hit it off with Arhin rather quickly, though he let her in because he was on a rebound and things quickly started to spiral out of control. Sleeping together, turning her, marrying, they ended up spending a long ten years with each other though each moment was just as wonderful as the first. Then the most joyous thing happened. She fell pregnant with twin boys. They already planned names for them. Roel and Matthieu. When the day came there were servants that were around to help with the birthing and even a doctor and Arhin was asked to stay outside the room they were in until it was over. When it was over he was allowed in to hold the twins. His wife looked happy, shedding tears as she smiled. Something seemed off though. More so when she said that she loved him and the boys before saying she was happy she at least got to see them once and like that he got the doctor back in. People rushing around trying to save his wife and all he could do was look on in horror because if he hadn't have turned her. If he had left her human and turned her now? She'd still be alive. He sent two or three days in solitude once again but he soon came to realize he didn't have time to do this again. He had to sons who were dependent on him. Of course some of the maids and servants who were still extremely loyal helped him raise the boys but other than that he was raising them alone. When his third wife came along he was happy again, though she and the boys didn't get along and this marriage was an extremely short one as one of the boys Roel lost his temper finally and tore the woman to shreds for trying to manipulate his father. He wasn't happy and nor was Arhin who lost his temper with Roel. The two fought while Matthieu watched and refereed well that was until Arhin knocked Roel clean out and the boy was locked in his coffin for a while. Though Arhin understood WHY his son did it, the method behind it was uncouth and disgraceful. He should have told Arhin first and then been told to go ahead rather than just going ahead and killing the woman. It did break Arhins heart a little but by this point? He's used to being dealt a bad hand where relationships are concerned and he doesn't think that there will be any change in that to be honest. Abilities • Rapid Heal - His wounds start to heal the moment they are received, they actually heal faster than your average vampire and his blood or saliva if ingested or rubbed on another persons wounds will heal the persons wounds rapidly even if it's a fatal wound. His bodily fluids are more potent in healing than some of the younger vampires in the world. • Psychic - Psychic varies in the ways it can be used he like most old vampires should be able to, has a telepathic connection to anyone he's ever drunk from and has the ability to see through illusions. The true thing with his psychic ability however is his puppetry. So long as he's made direct eye contact he can bend a persons will and more or less turn them in to his personal puppet for four or less turns (maybe longer if it's purely for RP, must have the victims consent mind you.) has a cool down of 5 turns/posts between uses and they won't remember what they did either. They will simply have a momentary lapse in memory. |
